- i think somehow listening to this record i am reminded of a g stefani cheerfully cherrypicking from her fav joints and her fav moods, minus all the 80s bollox and plus ability to handle tru rnb mid-tempoism
- such as the super-sweet "there's a thug in my life", where ri-ri hooks up with some ruggedness (cos he's got mad personality) and directs the song partly to her mums! so real
- i think maybe u love all gently caribbeanized twilight album-track bangers or u love none of them! (cf. rihanna's title track, mya's "things come and go") i love them all but experience has proved you ain't gonna win anyone over by pointing them out. bah!
